where it started

It all started back in 2016. I was fresh out of college and excited to create something that was entirely my own. I illustrated and prepped, readying myself for the day I would eventually launch my very own passion project. And then something happened. I hesitated, I found myself thinking "I can't go live until such and such happens". But really, what I was thinking was "what if it's not good enough" "what if this crashes and burns" what if, what if, what if.

Before I even realized what was happening a year had gone by and then two more. And then the pandemic happened, and then quarantine at home. Suddenly I had extra time and no more room to complain about not having time. It was then that series got its second wind and morphed into the full on business it is today.

"Where'd the Wild Things Go" started as a series of postcards highlighting endangered species. With climate and environmental changes, tons upon tons of wildlife have been affected, with many falling into endangered, vulnerable or extinct categories. If we don't take action soon we will find ourselves looking back and wondering what happened, and where did they go? We have all these big cities and thriving industries but at what cost?
